Designed by Christian Gobrecht, it was minted from 1838-1907 by the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, Carson City, Denver, New Orleans, or San Francisco. The coin contains 0.900 purity gold. The obverse features Liberty encircled by 13 stars, while the reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield. Coins are in Almost Uncirculated condition with some original mint luster.
